Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program is the oldest and most prestigious international program for exchange of scholars and students funded by the United States government. The main goal of the Program is to raise the level of mutual understanding between the people of the United States of America and the peoples of other countries. Since 1992, Ukrainian faculty and researchers have taken part in the Program.
From November 2016 to June 2017 among the participants of the Fulbright Program was Director of the Career Center of the ONPU O.L.Pavlov. His project is devoted to the modernization of student career services at universities in Ukraine.
Main objectives of the project:
- Analysis of the current state of the students career services in Ukraine.
- Study of the structure, activities and development trends of student services at US universities focused in career planning and placement of students.
- Development of practical recommendations on the modernization of domestic career services for students, taking into account the peculiarities of the higher education in Ukraine.
The basic university for the project was the University of Maryland (USA). The results of the research will make it possible to achieve a new quality of student career services, which will help both students' adaptation to labor market conditions and improve the level of professional training of young professionals in Ukraine.
